"Most people don't like change, but to live your Best Life, changes are necessary. I've realized that my life-long habits are gradually changing. Exercise as a daily routine? Big change! Now, I almost look forward to it. Not eating for two whole hours before bedtime? Now, the clock and I have a set time to stop eating. Breakfast everyday? Never, I thought. But now, I eat those three meals every day. Just one treat a day? YES! What about all the water I drink now? Yes, a good change!"

At The Best Life, we believe that the road to a healthier, slimmer, fitter you requires plenty of help along the way. That's why we connect you with a team of experts—acclaimed fitness coaches and their toning workouts, a creative cook who whips up tasty, light recipes, and super-smart dietitians touting the latest and greatest healthy-eating advice. And now, we're thrilled to introduce another expert to the ranks: Lisa, the founder of Hungry-Girl.com. She may not have a fancy degree in nutrition or exercise science, but she will help you lose weight. Here's why:

She has a realistic approach to slimming down.
Lisa lives and breathes the topics she writes about at Hungry-Girl.com: As a former overweight yo-yo dieter who happily has a handle on her weight today, she's intimately acquainted with the struggle of eating right. "Because I obsess over food, I learn about it, read about it, research it, dream about it," Lisa says. "Nothing gives me a thrill like discovering a new low-cal snack or assembling a low-fat pizza!"

She sleuths out the best of the best.
Lisa is on a never-ending quest to sample the newest foods to hit supermarket shelves, to find delicious, light options at restaurants, and to create fun and mouthwatering meals in the kitchen. "I try the latest fad diets, chomp on new fat-free foods and diet products, and, yes, I, too, order everything on the side," she says. (You can get the scoop every day in your inbox by signing up for Hungry Girl's daily emails.)

She talks to you from the heart.
In her #1 New York Times best selling book, Hungry Girl 200 Recipes Under 200 Calories, Lisa champions the same real-world approach to eating better and being active that you've come to know with The Best Life. The book brims with easy-to-make, diet-friendly recipes that will help you reach your goals—including a whole chapter on breakfast and another one on sweets.

start summer off on the right foot
start summer off on the right foot

We asked Hungry Girl to tell us about her ideal summer day. No surprises here— she's all about healthy, tasty food and getting in a little exercise.

Quick breakfast…
I have a new favorite—fat-free cottage cheese with a chopped Fuji apple, sprinkled with a little Splenda and cinnamon. Yum!

Heart-pumping workout…
I usually walk on the treadmill. And in the summer, I add swimming at the pool to the mix. I love to swim!

Light and tasty snack…
Frozen grapes!

Fast fuss-free dinner…
Broccoli cole slaw, chopped chicken, mandarin oranges, sliced almonds, and chopped scallions—all sprayed with a light dressing, such as Asian Silk Wishbone Salad Spritzer.

Low-cal summer treat…
Toss some frozen fruit into your blender, add a couple of ounces of diet cranberry juice and blend until slushy. Mmm, so good!
