How the program works

The Challenge is based on Bob Greene’s weight-loss philosophy of making small, gradual changes that will add up to big results. He also asks you to examine your relationship with food, and recognize the reasons behind misusing it. Bob will guide you through these changes and this period of self-discovery by giving you specific goals to follow, such as stopping eating two hours before bedtime or working in more minutes of physical activity each week. Each of these goals will help you take off a few more pounds, so that by the end of the year, you’ll be slimmer and healthier. But more importantly, you’ll have learned to eat, exercise and even think like a thinner person.

No matter when you begin , you should start by signing the Contract With Myself. Then, proceed to your first set of objectives: Move More And Reorganize Your Eating Patterns by clicking on the link below. These are the basic, critical habit changes that are the pillars of Bob's plan. You'll get four weeks to work on them, and then you'll continue practicing these habits as you move onto your next set of objectives, and so forth, throughout the year. Note that you won't need four weeks to master all the changes on this plan; most will take less time. But remember, whatever the time frame, it's important to check back into the site every week. We'll be updating the site constantly with advice, recipes and tips to support you on your weight-loss journey. Research consistently shows: The more involved you are, the more weight you lose and the better your chances are of keeping it off.

If you need more support, Bob’s complete program is available on TheBestLife.com. The website requires a fee, and offers an interactive food and activity log, an extensive recipe database, daily and weekly meal plans based on your individual calorie needs and food preferences, expert advice, support groups and more.
