Janis’s 5 Flavor Must-Haves

In my “flavor kit” are five staples: cilantro, lemons, garlic, dried oregano and feta cheese. I use them to liven up an endless number of healthy dishes, including cilantro-feta frittata; green salad with cilantro, feta and a crushed garlic-lemon juice-olive oil dressing; Greek yogurt with crumbled feta, flecked with oregano and drizzled with olive oil; tomatoes sprinkled with oregano (in the winter when basil’s out of season) with balsamic vinegar and olive oil; and cannellini bean, red pepper, cilantro and feta salad with crushed garlic and lemon juice. Just to name a few!
