4 cups green or red grapes
1 cup dried Calimyrna or black mission figs, stems removed
1 cup cold water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground star anise (or cinnamon)
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
2 cups ice cubes
In Vita-Mix or high-speed blender, add grapes and puree at high speed until smooth. If using seeded grapes, blend until seeds are thoroughly pureed. Add the figs, water, vanilla, star anise (or cinnamon) and salt and blend at high speed until completely smooth. Add ice cubes and blend once more until just smooth.
